1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
This User Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of docfinder.in and its related digital resources (the “Website”), operated by DocFinder GmbH, Hietzinger Hauptstraße 50/1, 1130 Wien, Austria (“DocFinder”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Agreement is published in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended (“IT Rules 2021”).
By accessing or using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the Website immediately.
2. About the Website
The Website provides general health information in English for informational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Website is a read-only platform; users are not able to upload, publish, or otherwise share user-generated content through the Website.
3. Eligibility
The Website is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. By accessing the Website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or are accessing the Website under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who has agreed to this Agreement.
4. Permitted Use
You may access the Website solely for lawful, personal, non-commercial informational purposes in accordance with this Agreement and applicable law. Any use of the Website for commercial purposes or beyond the scope of this Agreement requires the prior written consent of DocFinder.
5. Prohibited Conduct
In connection with your access to and use of the Website, you must not — and must not attempt to, or facilitate others to — host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update, or share any information that:
- belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;
- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person’s privacy including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or promoting enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;
- is harmful to children;
- infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights;
- constitutes misinformation or is patently false, untrue, or misleading in nature, or has been identified as fake or false by a fact-check unit of the Central Government of India;
- impersonates another person;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, or prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting to any nation;
- contains software viruses or any other computer code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource; or
- violates any law for the time being in force in India or any other applicable jurisdiction.
The above prohibitions reflect DocFinder’s obligations as an intermediary under Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules 2021 and are in addition to any obligations imposed by applicable law.
6. Consequences of Non-Compliance
In the event of any violation of this Agreement or applicable law, DocFinder reserves the right, in accordance with Rule 3(1)(c) of the IT Rules 2021, to:
- immediately terminate or suspend your access to, or usage rights in respect of, the Website;
- remove or disable access to any non-compliant information; or
- take any other action required or permitted under applicable law.
7. User Liability
In accordance with Rule 3(1)(c) of the IT Rules 2021, please be aware that if you create, host, publish, transmit, share or otherwise disseminate information in violation of this Agreement or applicable law, you may be subject to civil and criminal liability under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and any other applicable Indian or international law.
8. Mandatory Reporting
Where any violation of this Agreement relates to the commission of an offence that is mandatorily reportable under applicable law — including under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 read with the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 or the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) — DocFinder will report such offence to the appropriate authority in accordance with Rule 3(1)(c) of the IT Rules 2021 and the applicable law.

The information provided on the Website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. 10. Intellectual Property

12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DocFinder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Website or any information contained therein. DocFinder does not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
14. Changes to This User Agreement
DocFinder reserves the right to update or amend this Agreement at any time. In accordance with Rule 3(1)(f) of the IT Rules 2021, we will inform users of any changes to this Agreement at least once every year. Your continued use of the Website after the publication of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Agreement.
15. Periodic User Notifications
In accordance with Rule 3(1)(c) of the IT Rules 2021 (as amended by the Amendment Rules, 2026), DocFinder will inform users — at least once every three months, through appropriate means including notices on the Website or other effective methods — about:
- DocFinder’s right to terminate or suspend access or remove non-compliant information in the event of a violation of this Agreement or applicable law;
- user liability for unlawful acts and violations of applicable Indian law; and
- mandatory reporting obligations applicable to certain offences under law.
16. Grievance Redressal and Contact
In accordance with Rule 3(2) of the IT Rules 2021, DocFinder has designated a Grievance Officer to address queries, complaints, and grievances from users in India. You may direct any complaint or grievance regarding the Website or this Agreement to our Grievance Officer:

Complaints will be acknowledged within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt. DocFinder will endeavour to resolve complaints within seven (7) days of receipt. For complaints relating to removal of content or communication links, DocFinder will act as expeditiously as possible.
